Parent involvement in the Preschool is encouraged and welcomed.
We are a Community Based service and as such we rely heavily on your support in maintaining our service. Parents are encouraged to assist in as many ways as possible, for example, joining us on excursions, sharing your “special” skills with us or assisting in the room when you can.
Parents are always needed to be a part of the Parent Committee whose role is to manage the Preschool in conjunction with staff. The parent committee are the employers at the Preschool and as such are responsible for:-
- ensuring that all necessary administrative tasks are completed in association with the Administration Assistant.
- Assisting with policy making
- Undertaking working bees and ensuring that the premises are adequately maintained
- Organising fund raising to encourage all parents to contribute to the Preschool and to raise funds essential to the maintenance of the centre.
Committee members must be able to attend Committee meetings which are held once a month.
